My friend Deedra Bowles is a computer guru. She sent me an idea for a verse using LANGUAGE that this familiar to her – LANGUAGE she uses all the time. This doodle is a collaboration – a meeting of the minds (and languages). YEAR 27 is all about bringing the Bible to the Ehty people in their own heart language. This is the language that is familiar to them – the language they use every day – the language that they would use to cry out to God.

When you look at Deedra’s computer language, it might look like a jumbled mess to you, but to Deedra it is clear, it makes perfect sense. This is how people around the world might feel when they do not have the Bible in their own heart language – it may seem a jumbled mess when they hear someone try to share a verse with them that is not in the language they know best. I’m praying that the Ehty will be able to hear and read and respond to the Bible in their heart language. I’m praying that when they hear Romans 10:9 in their own language, that they will cry out to God!
