Guest Post: Song of Songs 2:11-12

I am pleased to introduce Shannon Hatch to you guys! I’ve been looking at his work lately and love love love it! Thanks for the guest post sir!

From Shannon:
My name is Shannon Hatch, I am a 22 year old male designer living in Christchurch, New Zealand. One day I had a bit of free time at work and decided it would be cool to design a verse to put on my wall at home. I then put a shot of it on instagram (shannonhatch) and I received texts and comments thanking me for posting that particular verse because they really needed to see that encouragement. Then the lightbulb went off, I starting creating more and posting them for people.

One verse can change the attitude of one person which can result in the decisions they make that day…We need to try and set people up for a win.

I chose Song of Songs 2:11-12 because it is one of my favourite verses.
I love how it declares a new season in our life, reading it just raises a joyful spirit in us.

One verse can make a world of difference and that’s what we are about at Year 27. Join us in bringing God’s Word to the Ehty people of South Asia. Click here to learn about sponsoring a verse.

Matthew 6:13

My pastor has been going through the Lord’s Prayer at church. It has been really meaningful to me to go through these verses one by one. This past week on YEAR 27, we have been looking at the Lord’s Prayer verse by verse.

The Lord’s Prayer is another group of verses that the Ehty people of South Asia do not have in their own heart language. At YEAR 27, we are working to bring the Bible to this group of people. You can get involved, too! Click here to find out more information about sponsoring Bible translation. $26 sponsors one verse of scripture = changed lives!

Silent Sunday

I am so grateful for God’s Word. A lot has been going on in life lately – and God’s Word is giving me encouragement, helping me learn to trust, showing me how to deal with emotions, and reminding me of the character of the Great God that I serve.

So today, on Silent Sunday, in the absence of reading a verse of scripture together, I ask you to spend a few minutes telling God how grateful you are for what He has done and is doing in your life.

For the Ehty people of South Asia, Silent Sunday happens more often than just Sunday – it’s every other day, too. At YEAR 27, we’re going to change that – we are working to translate God’s Word into their own heart language so that every day is a day where they can hear and read about God’s heart and character.

Join me in this effort – just $26 will translate one verse of scripture and 879 verses (our goal at YEAR 27) will translate the equivalent of the book of John into the Ehty heart language. If you are interested in sponsoring a verse right now, or want to learn more about this goal, click here.
