I chose this verse because it is a favorite at The Seed Company for telling others about our cause: ending Bible poverty. Every day hundreds of millions of people speaking more than 2,000 unique languages face life without the comfort of God’s Word — not even ONE verse of Scripture — in their language. Jill has been one of my favorite advocates to work with – her unending creativity and perseverance is unmatched! I don’t know of a single advocate in the cause of ending Bible poverty who is “on call” 365 days a year!
Back in college I studied Biblical Greek, before I knew how God would use those studies to place me in Bible translation ministry. I love the Greek language – but one of my favorite things about it is simply how beautiful it is written. I spent many hours in college writing Greek on a chalkboard – now I’m “doodling” Greek with Jill’s help!
God bless all of you who are following Year 27 and who have contributed … Ending Bible poverty is something we can do in our generation.

For the Ehty people of South Asia, Silent Sunday happens more often than just Sunday – it’s every other day, too. At YEAR 27, we’re going to change that – we are working to translate God’s Word into their own heart language so that every day is a day where they can hear and read about God’s heart and character.
